A dead lawyer, clients keeping secrets
Martin Turner is found stabbed to death in his office. He was a well-respected lawyer and defended several high-profile clients. He was also an alcoholic, and there because he was sleeping off a night on the booze.
With nothing in the victim’s background or his tight, but dwindling circle of friends to interest DI Angus Henderson’s team, they are forced to examine Turner’s extensive list of clients. This is a motley crew of rapists, thieves and murderers.
The case is finally broken open by the brave, but foolish actions of an acquaintance of the perpetrator. It brings Henderson closer to the killer, a man who will do anything to escape justice, including killing the DI.
