Brighton Festival is on at the moment (2 May -24 May) and while it’s well-known as a general arts festival, famous for classical music, stand-up comics, theatre, dance, and a lot more besides, books play an important part as well.
Janette Winterson will talk about the process of writing in Boldness in the Face of a Blank Page, you can have a chat with Guest Director Ali Smith, and Andy Miller, author of The Year of Reading Dangerously, will host Read Y’self Fitter, where you can expect a fair amount of audience participation.
Many of the events take place in the Brighton Dome Studio Theatre but check the website www.brightonfestival.org for availability as some are unfortunately fully booked but you may be lucky to land a returned ticket.
