A professor at Wisconsin University has analysed Kindle usage and come up with the ten most famous books that are rarely finished. If you have completed any on the list, well done to you as a few of them (like the first) put me off right from the start. Here’s the list.
1. Hilary Clinton – Hard Choices. The most unread – only 1.9% got to the end
2. Thomas Picketty – Capital in the Twenty First Century – 2.4%
3. David Foster Wallace – Infinite Jest – 6.4%
4. Stephen Hawking – A Brief History of Time – 6.6% (10m sold)
5. Daniel Kahneman – Thinking Fast & Slow – 6.8&
6. Sheryl Sandberg – Lean In – 12.3%
7. Michael Lewis – Flash Boys – 21.7%
8. E.L.James – Fifty Shades of Grey – 25.9% (I didn’t finish)
9. F Scott Fitzgerald – The Great Gatsby – 28.3% (I’ve read it, twice!)
10. Suzanne Collins – Catching Fire – 43.4% (I’ve read it)
